Intraoral Camera Lets You See what We See
Teamwork is something that we cultivate with every patient, at every visit. One of the ways in which we develop trusting relationships is by sharing information. An Intraoral camera is a high-tech piece of equipment that allows you to see what we see. An Intraoral camera fits easily inside the mouth, displaying a close up view you can observe along with Dr. Fain. Viewing a real-time image of your mouth lets you be a participant in the design of your treatment plan, rather than just a bystander.
Digital ImagingDigital imaging is a technologically advanced method of taking x-rays. Rather than biting down on uncomfortable dental films, our patients have x-rays taken with a digital sensor, a small device that sends images to our computer for immediate viewing. Digital x-rays are clean, easy, comfortable, and healthy, exposing patients to 75% less radiation than traditional x-rays. This diagnostic technique is very effective, capturing the entire mouth with one shot.
Painless treatment for Gum Disease
The primary factor leading to tooth loss is periodontal disease, not tooth decay. Treatment for gum disease, until recently, has been perceived as time consuming and painful. At Fain Dental Arts, we reach for ARESTIN™ when helping our patients with gum disease. This powdery substance contains tiny microspheres, which cannot be seen without magnification. These powerhouses time-release antibiotic medication right where it’s most needed, in the pockets between the teeth and gums. Here, it kills the bacteria that cause harm to gum tissue - painlessly and effectively.
The skill level of your dentist is only one part of receiving the utmost care and your healthiest smile. By incorporating new technologies that have been proven safe and effective, we give you more opportunity to experience optimal oral health without the hassle of painful tests and treatments.
iTero digital impressions
In our modern dental practice, we have a completely new way of gathering necessary information. Rather than relying on conventional x-rays and impression taking, we utilize state-of-the-art 3D technology. The Cadent Itero digital impression system provides your dentist with the in-depth structural data needed to complete dental treatment, while providing you with a more comfortable and expedient diagnostic process.
Using the Itero system, we are able to not only eliminate the necessity for uncomfortable putty impressions, but also achieve the best possible fit for crowns, bridges, and veneers. In addition, because this system is so precise, you will spend less time in our office and more time showing off your beautiful smile.
Itero is ideal for most patients, even those who tend to feel anxious in the dental chair. Without the messy putty of traditional impressions, the worry that the process may cause gagging is eliminated. Because digital scanning is used rather than a pliable material, there is no wait time. In just a few minutes, the Itero system creates an exact replica of your oral anatomy.
Itero digital impressions are comfortable, extremely precise, and very safe. The system operates using visible light, which means our patients are not unduly exposed to radiation.
We are happy to answer your questions about the Itero system or any of our available services. Contact Fain Dental Arts to learn more about our practice.
