Beautiful, Natural Dentures in North Miami

We understand that dentures have a reputation for looking fake and unnatural.

But at Fain Dental Arts, modern dental technology and materials have improved to the point where we can customize dentures that look more like real teeth than you ever thought possible!

How Do Dentures Work?

While dental implants are preferred for tooth replacement, dentures are still an excellent option for many people.

Dentures are removable prosthetic appliances that take the place of lost teeth in the mouth. Modern dentures look similar to natural teeth and can help you regain the ability to speak, bite, chew, and smile with confidence again.

Types of Dentures We Offer

There are two types of dentures – full and partial. A full denture is appropriate if you are missing all of the teeth in your upper jaw, lower jaw, or both. Partial dentures are used to fit in and around existing teeth to improve your appearance and prevent remaining teeth from drifting out of place.

Our denture patients fall into one of two categories:

  1. Some have had all of their teeth removed and the mouth has healed enough to receive a conventional denture.
  2. Other patients, however, don’t want to spend a moment longer than necessary without teeth, so we recommend immediate dentures. We fabricate these dentures in advance and place them immediately after removal of the teeth. Since the jaw still needs to heal after removal, multiple adjustments are usually required to the dentures after gum tissue heals.

Designing Your New Dentures

Once we decide together that dentures are an appropriate choice for you, we work closely with you to customize your new denture. We want you to be delighted with the final outcome, so the process of designing, adjusting, and receiving your new dentures takes place over several appointments. The materials used for dentures provide us with lots of options for customizing the shape, size, color, and placement of artificial teeth.

It’s crucial to take our time during the process because we need to ensure a proper fit. We take highly accurate molds and measurements, and we will create a wax “try-in” denture so we can make adjustments to the bite and appearance of your denture before skilled technicians fabricate your finished denture.

Dental Implants Add Stability

Since dentures are an appliance that sits on top of the gums, they may never feel entirely secure. If you would like to avoid the movement and discomfort of loose dentures, we suggest an implant-supported denture that is designed to attach to a few dental implants for stability.
